Who we are
This website, ronangel.com, is operated by Ron Angel. It provides information about his work and a separate personal Voice Recording Pipeline application. Contact: ron@ron-angel.com.
Voice Recording Pipeline (Personal)
This section describes the personal recording application. The website’s comments, cookies, forms and embedded-content practices are separate and are not representations about recording files or Google OAuth credentials.
Voice Recording Pipeline (Personal) is Ron Angel’s personal recorder and meeting-archive application. These disclosures describe the reviewed implementation and intended personal use.
The Voice Recording Pipeline is a private tool for Ron Angel’s own use. It is not offered to the public or available for public registration.
Information accessed and used
The application processes recorder audio, filenames and timestamps, generated transcripts and titles, quality-review information, checksums, Drive file metadata and archive manifests. Google OAuth grants access using drive.file, which permits managing files created by or explicitly used with the app. The implementation limits archive operations to its validated owner-only archive. It does not request full-drive access.
Processing and storage
Audio conversion, transcription and title generation run locally on Ron’s Mac. The app uploads original audio, text and structured transcripts, and manifests to its Google Drive archive. Local copies, processing state, transcription caches and a searchable transcript index can remain on the Mac. OAuth client configuration and refreshable credentials are stored in macOS Keychain; credentials are not published with recordings or repository code.
Archive access and assistant analysis
The local Meeting Archive interface retrieves transcripts and plays original audio from the archive. Its read-only assistant connector can return transcript excerpts or full text to Codex or ChatGPT when Ron requests archive analysis. Selected content then becomes available to the service used for the request, under that service’s settings and data practices. The pipeline does not automatically send audio to a cloud transcription or title-generation service. This statement does not promise that all transcripts stay solely on the Mac.
Retention and deletion
The archive retains original audio and transcripts until Ron chooses to remove them. Confirmed deletion in the dashboard moves the logical meeting folder to Google Drive Trash, rather than permanently deleting it. Provider Trash retention applies. Recorder-source cleanup is a separate operation allowed only after verified archival and applicable review gates. Removing a Drive meeting does not establish that every local staged copy, cache, backup or prior assistant conversation has also been removed. No fixed automatic purge interval for all local data was identified.
Security and control
The pipeline checks archive ownership and sharing, verifies uploaded artifacts, and keeps local runtime data outside Git. Local model services use loopback. These controls reduce risk; they are not a guarantee of confidentiality. Ron controls recording collection, archive access and any separate sharing or assistant use. Disconnecting Google access stops future authorized API access but does not automatically delete existing archive data.

Website forms, comments and subscriptions
The website’s Signup for Updates form asks for your name and email address. Its current configuration saves submissions on the website through Elementor, including IP address and browser information, and is configured to email form fields and technical details to Ron at ron@ron-angel.com. These details include submission date and time, page URL, browser information and IP address.
Where comments are available, the website asks for your name and email and processes your comment, IP address and browser information for display, moderation and spam protection. Approved comments may be public. Avatar display is enabled and may retrieve your avatar from Gravatar. Comment forms offer subscriptions to posts or follow-up comments through WordPress/Jetpack; choosing those options supplies the subscription service with the details needed to deliver notifications.
Hosting, statistics, security and cookies
The website uses WordPress.com hosting and WordPress/Jetpack services for site operation, statistics, login and security, together with Akismet spam protection. These services process technical visitor or account information, such as IP address, browser information, requested pages, referring pages and login activity, as applicable to the feature used. See Automattic’s visitor privacy notice and Jetpack’s feature-specific data practices.
Cookies or similar technologies may support login, comment preferences, subscriptions, security and embedded content. The comment form offers an option to save comment-author details in cookies. You can manage cookies in your browser; blocking them may affect those features.
Embedded media and external links
The Media page embeds YouTube and Spotify players. Loading or using these players connects your browser to those providers, which may receive technical information and use their own cookies or account settings. Their own privacy policies apply. Links to Facebook and Instagram take you to those services when you follow them.
Storage, requests and changes
Website form records, comments, subscription records and email copies may remain in the relevant website, mail or provider systems until removed through those systems’ controls. Removal from one system may leave copies in another, including backups. Provider retention practices apply to provider-managed data; this policy does not promise a single automatic purge interval for all copies.
You may contact ron@ron-angel.com to ask about information you supplied or request access, correction, removal or an end to updates. Any provider subscription or account may also offer its own controls. Requests are reviewed subject to applicable obligations and available controls; removal from every backup or third-party service is not guaranteed by deleting a website record.
This policy should be updated when the website’s features or the personal application’s data practices change.
